BARAS - Mumbai Monsoon Abstract | Limited Edition Fine Art Print

from £125.00

Monsoon Dyptychs Tham and Baras explore the shifting emotional rhythm of the Indian monsoon—where rain becomes both presence and memory, stillness and release. Presented as a paired visual narrative, the works sit in dialogue: one holding the quiet anticipation of gathering skies, the other the intensity and emotional overflow of rainfall in full expression. Together, they reflect the duality of the season, soft restraint and immersive abundance, inviting the viewer into a meditative pause within nature’s most transformative moment. Baras captures the overwhelming presence of rain when the city dissolves into water, light and shifting atmosphere. From a 9th floor apartment in Mumbai, the monsoon arrived not as weather, but as total transformation — where buildings disappear, edges blur, and only movement and muted grey-green light remain. This work was painted spontaneously directly onto tile using bare fingers and a dry brush, without sketch, preparation or fixed composition. It is an instinctive, immediate response to the experience of being inside the storm rather than observing it. Baras — meaning “rain in the present continuous” — reflects the city as it disappears into monsoon abstraction. What remains is sensation, atmosphere and emotional memory. This is a limited edition fine art print, created to preserve the texture, spontaneity and atmospheric depth of the original tile painting. Materials • Acid- and lignin-free and made to last. • The natural finish enhances vibrancy and depth. • Textured matte surface that enhances depth without losing clarity. • Handmade wooden frame from Italy. Limited edition print — produced in small quantities to preserve exclusivity and collector value. Interior Style Ideal for contemporary interiors, minimalist spaces, and collectors of atmospheric abstract art. Works beautifully as a statement piece in living rooms, studios, hallways or curated gallery walls  Contemporary Indian monsoon abstract art print inspired by Mumbai rain, atmospheric cityscape painting, textured fine art wall décor, modern framed abstract artwork.
